Last weekend we had one of the worst spring days NYC has seen yet with total monsoon weather from early morning to late at night. The rain refused to stop. Luckily, the day before had been one of the best days weather-wise, and to enjoy it to it's fullest Lauren and I made our way to Crown Victoria, a bar in South Williamsburg with not only an outdoor seating area in front, but an amazing outdoor space in the back complete with mismatched 50s style patio furniture, wooden benches, tree stumps re-purposed as tables, colorful graffiti art and the pièce de résistance: an old-school tractor.
As soon as we arrived, Lauren and I ordered a bloody mary from the bar and then parked ourselves directly in the sun's path. We didn't move for several hours. I have the shorts tan line to prove it.
It's already been discussed and agreed upon that next time we go there we're bringing bikinis and laying out on one of the picnic benches or tables. The other patrons will just have to deal with it.
