Mullet skirt from La Di Da Dee in Williamsburg,
Joie nude sweater,
Tom Ford glasses,
Hue tights,
Vintage striped belt,
Hinge booties (last seen here),
Mulberry bag and Vintage oversized blazer (also worn here).
I bought this mullet skirt at a new, adorable and very affordable boutique that just opened in our neighborhood called La Di Da Dee, and have been dying to wear it ever since. And while I'd prefer to have donned it with bare legs and some platform sandals, sadly I had to opt for a neutral pair of tights to keep me warm.
It's a mystery to me why I have to still wear tights this time of year, and honestly, this was probably the only pair in my closet that wasn't laden with holes. (I admittedly abuse the hell out of my tights every winter, forcing me to make an annual tights shopping spree every Fall.)
Regardless, the skirt was a perfect companion to another Saturday morning spent drinking bloody marys... this time, at one of our favorite brunch spots: Lodge, which appears in the last pic.

Love the high-low skirt with those boots. The tights look great with it!
ReplyDeleteOk, this question may seem ignorant, but are these really officially called mullet skirts??? My mom calls them that but I thought it was because she didn't like them.... For me, some are ridiculous, but some versions I love... You are pulling yours off wonderfully!
ReplyDelete... And still, I love your bloody mary mornings!!! I know I only know you via my few blog comments, but if I ever make it to NY, don't be surprised if I try to meet up and hang out...
thanks Leigh! You should definitely try to make it out to NYC to join for a bloody!
Deleteas for the skirt - not sure what the 'official' name is, but mullet skirt or hi-lo skirt seem to be the top contenders. it really feels like business as usual in front, and a party in the back, so mullet works best for me!

ReplyDeleteI feel your pain with the tights. I usually just take them off for the photos and then put them back on again! I really love your new skirt. I've been looking for one like this as well. I think it is perfect for so many occasion. And I love that belt!! So cute and you look gorgeous as always.

great outfit. love the skirt and the boots :-)

I think the colour of the tights doesn't fit the outfit, especially the boots. Also the picture are not that nice in my opinion. Colours are too saturated and the compositions of the 1st, 3rd and 4th are disturbing. Nice the b/w one!
