On one of these typical rainy afternoons, Lauren and I took refuge at Roebling Tea Room, one of my favorite brunch/lunch/dinner/you-name-it spots. Lauren and I are frequently on the same page when it comes to menu choices and this time we decided on cheese grits, smoked salmon with beets over toast, and a beet and kale salad topped with sunny side eggs. (If my mother is reading this her jaw just dropped open - vegetables are not my usual go-to when I'm stuffing my face).
Needless to say, the meal was delicious, and worth braving the elements.

arg, same thing's happening in Chicago. it's just rain rain all the time...and on top of that i don't own an umbrella. frizz fest all week long. but anyway, this is probably my favorite post so far! love those pants on Lauren and that food looks aaaamazing. i think it'd be worth the rain too ;)
ReplyDeleteBomb leather pants!! I'm always afraid to go the leather pants route fearing that I'm destined to end up like Ross from Friends, writhing on the floor desperately trying to get them off :) They do always look fab though! And that FOOD!! I just ate breakfast but frankly you've made me want a second one!

thanks joanne! it's actually just my natural curl. i just wash my hair and let it dry naturally. you could probably get the same effect with a 1" curling iron though. good luck! xL
