So Lauren and I both own these pants. Which means there have been several occasions when we've met up with each other after work, not knowing what the other was wearing, and there was a very real risk of one of us having *almost* worn them the same day as the other. I mean, this happens a lot.

On this day, we managed to yet again avoid looking like Parent Trap twins when Lauren came over to my place for a change to hang and play with my pup. My apartment isn't that fun for her because I am TV-less, a fact that bothers more people than it bothers me. Hello, internet? Thank you I will stream Homeland for free.

And yes, if you can read those street signs you now know where I live and can come find me and we'll grab a drink. I'm friendly like that.

PS: As some of you might know, Rebecca Minkoff finally debuted the video we did with them this past Fall. Watch it below and let us know what you think! And to learn more about us, our neighborhood, and what we'll be doing for the holidays, check out our full interview here on their blog.

I just flew back into NYC last night, and man, is it freezing compared to the weather I left back in Los Angeles! I was happy to spend a long weekend at home for Thanksgiving though, recovering from a cold that hit me a week ago, and trying to soak up as much sun as possible.

And although it's pretty crisp out in NYC today, that didn't stop me from sporting out one of my more recent finds from ASOS, albeit with a thick fur coat and warm knee highs to match. The beige palette was unintentional, but I'm digging the results.

Oh and I almost forgot... Happy Cyber Monday! Can you believe all the online sales going on?
Check out some of our favorite deals from ASOS, Saks and Nastygal. What other sites will you be browsing today?

Hanes tshirt,
80%20 Eliotte booties.

I really think this is one of my faves of Lauren's looks to date. There's not a lot going on, just colored denim paired with a comfy Hanes tee and a buttery soft leather jacket but it's all pulled together with her amazing new booties from our go-to shop, 80%20

If you're similarly in love then shop immediately because they're having a killer sale of 45% off. Yes, you read that correctly! So now that we're all aware I'm leaving you guys to do some shopping too.

Love this season and all the holiday deals!

A Touch of Green

Raise your hand if you're addicted to ASOS.  Yup, exactly. It's so hard to shop their site and not walk away with any fewer than three things. During my recent haul I picked up this top and I love it. So. Much. Unfortunately so does Lauren... so, you know how these things go. But I have to give her props for taking this look one step further and actually color coordinating her nails to match...

...Just kidding. She had the green on before we shot this look and if anything I told her it looked like she threw-up on her nails. Then we snapped some pics and I realized they actually look pretty good.

Fine, Lauren. You told me so.

Feeling Dotty

Come winter, it's tough not to gravitate towards only wearing monochromatic looks in shades of black and grey, so I've been trying to make an effort by loading up on color as frequently as possible. I've been saving this bright scarf-print top for a gloomy day, and to add to the eclectic look I decided to pair it with my new polka dot pajama pants for a laid-back weekend outfit.

When I wore this out with Micol I immediately asked her if she thought it was a bit too 'circus-y,' but in the end we both decided we think it works because the patterns share common color schemes. What do you think of the combo?

Ok guys, it's officially winter! So it was only fitting for Lauren to throw on a monochromatic outfit that fit in perfectly with these grey days as we made our way to the city for a girls' night/book club meeting.

Our book club meetings have become my favorite monthly tradition and one we've been able to keep up for over a year. Our latest read was Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl and if you haven't yet had the pleasure I highly suggest that you pick it up ASAP. SO. GOOD!

PS. Can you believe Lauren's blazer is from Target? She just got it. RUN.

Winter Blooms

If you're anything like me and Micol, you undoubtedly stocked up on floral prints this summer, whether in the form of feather-light sundresses or bold, printed pants. But before you pack up those fun, bright patterns for next summer, here are a few of our tips for making them last well into the wintry months.

How to transition your florals into winter-wear:
1. Warm your bottom: Keep your toes + legs warm by throwing on a pair of tights and/or legwarmers, and some thick boots. I'm a sucker for contrasting a delicate dress with shitkicker boots. Free People has some great inspiration on their website right now.
2. Wrap it up: Top off the look with a killer coat. You can't go wrong with vintage furs or an oversized lapel.
3. Get chunky: Pair a bold, floral-print bottom with a chunky sweater or knit. You can even double up on tights underneath for added warmth.
4. Always accessorize: Tone down a look that's feeling to 'summery' by stocking up on thick socks, knee-highs, beanies + gloves. A chunky beanie looks great with just about anything.

How will you be wearing your florals this winter?

Sooo this morning was kind of rough for me and Lauren. But we found our salvation with a late lunch at Dumont Burger, stuffing our faces with burgers and fries and their incomparable salad (I know that's not how you were expecting that sentence to end but their salad dressing is out of this world).

Last night we hosted a party at the Soho Grand to raise money for the Mayor's Fund in the aftermath of superstorm Sandy. Every dollar made from their specialty cocktail 'Safe + Sound' was donated to the cause as well as $1 from every beer, wine and cocktail purchase. We had a great turnout and drank and danced the night away.

And check out Lauren's new boots! These babies take any outfit up a notch.

So many amazing things happening this week... starting with Obama's re-election! It seriously feels like a weight was lifted off our chests. And how inspiring was his acceptance speech?

To top off that major win, Micol and I are excited to share with you guys our most recent collaboration with NYC-based 80%20 shoes, who we teamed up with for a photo shoot to highlight their new Holiday/Resort 2012 styles. The above highlights one of the full looks from the shoot, which took place a few weekends ago at some of our favorite locations in the LES and Williamsburg.

Hey folks. So it's been a crazy week to say the least. Although Lauren and I survived Sandy with little to no damage to our homes, many did not. It's unbelievable the devastation that the hurricane caused for many. With transportation limited (and in our neighborhood, non existent) Lauren and I looked for other ways to help. Needless to say, blogging was not our priority.

Last week, Lauren threw a kick ass dinner for all of our friends and asked that each friend who attend contribute to a monetary donation to the Red Cross. It was a great success.

But many are still in need, so if you can do so, please donate to the Sandy relief fund. Details to do so are below.
