Feeling Dotty

11.18.2012

Phillippe Adec wool blazer (last seen here),
Xhilaration polka dot pants
Etam silk shirt (similar here),
Dolce Vita booties,
Vintage chain necklace,
Alexander Mcqueen quilted bag.

Come winter, it's tough not to gravitate towards only wearing monochromatic looks in shades of black and grey, so I've been trying to make an effort by loading up on color as frequently as possible. I've been saving this bright scarf-print top for a gloomy day, and to add to the eclectic look I decided to pair it with my new polka dot pajama pants for a laid-back weekend outfit.

When I wore this out with Micol I immediately asked her if she thought it was a bit too 'circus-y,' but in the end we both decided we think it works because the patterns share common color schemes. What do you think of the combo?

  13. Usually not a fan of mixing too many patterns, but I think the repeating and the non-repeating ones work really well together here! Awesome!
