Harpers Bazaar, April 2012
All images shot by Terry Richardson for Harper's Bazaar
Let's be real. A lot of the time that Lauren and I shoot it's on the fly and we spend more time scavenging for a prime background location than we do shooting her look. When it's a Mimosa Sunday or Bloody Mary Saturday sometimes this process can take ages. But we also spend a fair amount of time plotting themes and jotting down to memory interesting locales that we pass by on off days. Because for us The Marcy Stop is more than a chronological digital notation of outfits. It's a permanent and ever evolving reflection of who we are at this specific point in time.
When I saw this editorial last spring (shot by Terry Richardson) I felt it not only perfectly captured how Lauren and I like to combine fashion with landscape but also illustrated the endless forms and combinations that we have yet to explore.
