Two Fold

2.25.2013

Ronen Chen Martini tank (borrowed + on sale now!), H and M leather bomber jacket (similar on sale here), Merona pleated maxi skirt, Bauble Bar necklace (similar here), Monoprix fringe hobo bag, Rose Gold zip-up booties (last seen here).

I'm a huge fan of pairing navy + black. I love the subtle contrast between the two colors, and in this instance, hoped the diverging pleats in the skirt and tank would make for an interesting combination as well. I much prefer the look without the jacket, but it's winter... what can you do?

I wound up wearing this outfit on Saturday to check out the Basquiat exhibit at the Gagosian gallery in Chelsea, which I highly recommend to anyone visiting NYC in the next few months (the show runs til April 6th). Living in New York, it's easy to take for granted all the amazing arts that we have front-row access to, so Micol and I made a recent pledge to try and visit more museums and shows this year. The next one on our list? The Met's upcoming Impressionism, Fashion & Modernity show. Looks amazing, right?
