If this look seems a bit out-of-the-ordinary for The Marcy Stop, it's because it is. But what's fashion for, if not to try out new wardrobe combinations and have fun with it?

Here, I was inspired by look #7 from Rebecca Minkoff's Fall 2013 show. I've never layered a low-cut dress over a button-up blouse before, but it seemed like a great idea and a novel way to put some of your spring/summer wardrobe to use in the cold.

Micol HATED this outfit when I first put it on (ok, I admit, I stole the coat from her closet)... and then bit by bit, it began to grow on her. I also felt a bit like a librarian in it. But I think the funky and bright accessories helped offset that a little bit... or maybe not.
