Two years ago I returned from my Christmas vacation inspired to hone my photography skills and determined to launch a project that would challenge me on a daily basis. I found a partner in crime in the form of my best friend at the time, Lauren, who was also looking for ways to stretch herself creatively. Thus, The Marcy Stop was born; a blog formed by two friends, documenting their lives and fashion together. It was more than a daily outfit blog, it was a snapshot in time of two friends living in Brooklyn and our misadventures together. I'm incredibly proud of what we accomplished and eternally grateful for the loyal readers and amazing support that we received along the way.
Sadly, all good things must come to end. In a few short days I will be a San Franciscan - it's my motto to do things that scare the shit out of you and moving across the country certainly qualifies. But I also couldn't be more excited and certain that this is an important next step in my life.
Readers addicted to Lauren's style have nothing to fear, she will continue with the blog bringing you her daily outfit inspiration and I wish her all the luck and fortune with this endeavor.
Thank you for an amazing ride.

And if you're ever in the Bay area, holler at your girl.

Oh my gosh! Congratulations! I am so excited for you! But I am so sad too :( I have loved your blog from the very beginning and have been an avid reader! Although my commenting has stunk lately since having Anabelle... You and Lauren crack me up! I still imagine that one day I would visit New York and we three could meet out for brunch one morning and have some Bloody Mary's... I loved that you started making appearances in front of the camera more lately too, because your sense of style is perfect! And your photography is beautiful! I kind of wish you could give me a few pointers since I am a professional amateur over here and you are professionally amazing! You will be missed :) I'll have to head over to your other site! Good luck and have fun!
