Before Sunset

6.10.2014

Old Navy striped dress (similar here), Mossimo collared vest, Target studded belt, Free People boater hat (similar here), Elliott Lucca tote, Rose Gold wedge booties (I love these too). Shot by Isaac Lacey.

I'm back from my mini life  blogging hiatus, and trying desperately to take on the week ahead after a crazy, 3-day weekend thanks to Governor's Ball: a music festival that took place this past weekend on Randall's Island in NYC. Headliners this year included Outkast, Vampire Weekend, Empire of the Sun, Phoenix, Disclosure, La Roux, and so many more (you can check out the full list here), and I was lucky enough to attend for all three, music and sun-filled days. The best part was that the weather could not have been any better, which was a relief after last year's torrential rain and mud-soaked fields.

Anyway, I can't wait to share my snaps and stories from the festival with you, but haven't yet had a chance to sort through the haze. So until then, I leave you with these photos that Isaac and I took last week on a gorgeous, golden evening in our neighborhood. I love the classic A-line shape of this dress, and although the stripes and boater hat combination are a little reminiscent of a Venice gondolier, I appreciate the nautical feeling that they ultimately convey.
