Dorothy Perkins green burnout tee & slouch bag, Vintage check pencil skirt (I love this one too), Seattle Hidden Star jacket c/o Gypsy Warrior (on sale!), Prabal Gurung for Target cuff, Steve Madden boots. Shot by Isaac Lacey.
As evidenced by my recent NYFW look, I'm all about peek-a-boo layers, so it's probably no surprise that for part II of my Fall Essentials collaboration with Dorothy Perkins, I chose to highlight the Sheer Luxe trend. For those who aren't ready to bare all just yet, this top is the perfect middle ground: the velvet adds texture and keeps you covered up, but the tiny, sheer burnouts still keep you guessing. Here I kept it casual with a clashing printed skirt, rich brown shoulder bag and oversized denim jacket, but it would look just as fab with a leather jacket and some dark denim for a sophisticated evening look.
What do you think about the sheer trend? Would you ever try it?
