Ever see something in a store or online and feel like it was made for you? That's what happened when I first saw this dress. I stumbled upon this photo on Stylestalker's instagram page and was obsessed; I knew it had to be mine. So what if the plunging neckline is impractical, or the cutouts make it inappropriate for most occasions? Even here, dressed for cocktail hour with my family at the villa we rented in Santa Barbara just one day after my sister's wedding, the dress felt a bit out of place. But as Oscar Wilde once said, 'You can never be overdressed or overeducated.' 

I'm happy to say I'm still working on both.
