While I love autumn hues like brown, ochre and deep reds, there's something about a cooler color palette that I always gravitate towards. Perhaps it reminds me of the ocean, bright blue skies, or misty grey mornings. Whatever my reasoning might be, to me mixing denim with cool grey, white and blue hues is somehow subtle and eye-catching at the same time. Here I busted out a pair of vintage cutoffs and made them worthy for winter by piling on a chunky, blue knit and a thin (but super warm) wool trench. I love this Mint Designs coat (and have had it forever!) because it's lightweight, but still extremely warm: the qualities of a perfect layering piece if you ask me.
The weather here in NYC has cooled down significantly the past week, so expect to see a lot more cold weather dressing in the weeks to come! How's the weather been this Fall for you?
