Snow Blossoms

2.12.2015

Jbrand cocoon coat (similar here), Barney's Originals leather jacket, Printed dropwaist dress c/o Denim and Supply, Hue tights, Catarzi for ASOS hat, Boho fringe bag c/o Petit Sesame, Vintage necklaces and rings, Anne Klein Citygurl boots. Shot by Isaac Lacey.

I mean, I understand that you have to prepare people for the worst, but what is with all the hysteria lately about oncoming snowstorms?! It's not like this is the first (or the last) time that the winter will dump a ton of ice and snow on the Northeast, yet every time a storm starts heading our way the media blows it completely out of proportion. My first hint of the media hype always comes in the form of a phone call from my mom, asking me if I'm 'prepared' and what my plans are for the next few days. If prepared means, 'Do I have enough booze in my house to last me an afternoon,' then I guess yes, I am fully prepared...

These snaps were taken shortly after the big 'blizzard' that was supposed to hit New York a week ago. As you can see, no major damage was done aside from a few inches of snowfall, but the city did shut down for a full 24-hours as we all enjoyed a little stay-at-home snow day. Anyway, I guess my point is that I'm hoping predictions for a snowstorm during NYFW wind up being over-dramatized, per usual. Guess we'll see!

  7. Well, the snow storm has created a beautiful setting for your outfit photos, which the light is hitting perfectly. I love that you managed to still put together such a stylish look. Your printed drop waist dress is so very chic :)
