Next time you're in Southern Corsica, this beach is a must-see.

I can't believe it's only been a little over a week since I was basking in the sun on the shores of Corsica. Feels like that was months ago! But vacation always flies by too quickly, especially when you've got a packed schedule waiting for you at home in NYC. All I've got to live by now is my memory of the salty air, the feeling of sand between my toes, the contrast between the blazing heat of the sun versus the crisp, clear water.
These photos take me back to one of the last days of my trip, when we made an excursion to La Rondinara, undeniably one of my favorite beaches that we discovered in the South. The water was crystal clear, the beach flanked by reddish rocks on one side and sailboats on the other. You could picnic in the sand for lunch then nap under one of the fir trees bordering the cove. Sip on rose and watch the calm, blue water stretch out towards the horizon. As a souvenir I bought a beach throw from a Senegalese vendor selling his wares out of a tiny shack on the beach. When I unpacked back at home, it left a fine dusting of sand on the floor of my apartment... remnants of my trip that I was reluctant to sweep up, but eventually had to.
