Poolside in Palombaggia

9.19.2015

Cause I never met a romper I didn't love...

Palm print romper c/o ASOS, Bershka half cat-eye sunglasses, Souvenir necklace from Turkey (similar here), Rebecca Minkoff sandals (similar here). Shot by Isaac Lacey in Palombaggia, Corsica.

There's nothing like a day spent lounging around poolside, with nothing to do and all the time to do it in. It seems like pools have always played a central role in my life. The house I grew up in in Los Angeles had one in the yard, so naturally, I was raised as a water baby: I can't even count all the swim parties we hosted over my childhood. I also swam competitively in high school (hence the broad shoulders), and got used to doing laps for hours. Something about the repetition of swimming laps is still so therapeutic to me. And now that I live in NYC, one of my favorite destinations is the pool at Soho House, which (though small) is often my top location for working remotely & keeping cool during summer.

Before embarking on my Corsica adventure I was looking for a few simple swim coverups to don poolside, and this ASOS romper really stuck out to me. I love a good off-the-shoulder top, and that plus the low-key print had me sold... I knew it would be perfect for a day spent soaking up the sun at our rental house in Palombaggia. Here's hoping wherever you are this weekend you get some time to relax!
