The key to transitioning your summer staples to Fall.

A few months ago, I paired up with Nine West to show you how I'd style their new slingback booties for summer. Sadly, warmer temperatures can't last forever, but being the
hoarder thrifty person I am, I'm all about transitioning items from season-to-season, and there's nothing like a great boot to be able to do that with. For me, Fall is all about mixing together different layers, textures and prints, so a chic bootie like this one is a great way to tie your whole look together.
But although I feel as though my closet has never been more ready for Fall, my mind is still lagging a few weeks behind. What is it about the changing seasons that brings about a change in our mood as well? During summer I always feel so lighthearted and carefree, ready to to slip into a swimsuit and dive into the next adventure at any moment. During Fall everything seems to be coated in a patina of stress. Clients are more demanding than ever, it's harder to coordinate time with friends... even getting up in the morning takes an extra bit of effort. My remedy? Just dive in, do the work and try to keep your eye on the prize, whatever that may be. For me it can be as simple as planning a quick day trip, a brunch with the girls, or a night out with my man. Put yourself out there and toss on a smile even when you don't feel like it... and eventually your mind will catch up with your actions.
