Travel is so much easier during summer. You can literally cram a million different outfits into one tiny carry-on. Fall & Winter, however, require a different strategy if you're going to attempt to fit everything into the same small suitcase, which is essentially what I did a few weeks ago for my trip to Paris.
But I embraced the opportunity with open arms, realizing that one of the best lessons in life is learning how to strip down to the essentials when you need to. Swapping out your shelves full of shoes for just two essential pairs. Making decisions based more on necessity and comfort than anything else. Grabbing your warmest coverup and maybe a leather moto jacket for good measure and running out the door and onto a flight without a second thought. Because everything tends to work out just fine in the end, and besides, Paris is known for its shopping anyway...
