Namast'ay Warm

Join me, The Fashion Philosophy & Fashion Goggled this Thursday in Brooklyn
for a special holiday cocktail, clothing drive & fundraising event at Blind Barber!

On me: MintDesigns wool trench, Thrifted sweater, Paige Denim jeans, Bucket bag c/o Joelle Hawkens, Vintage hat, Charles David boots. Shot at Blind Barber Brooklyn.

'Tis the season for a lot of things: holiday parties, amazing shopping deals, hot toddies, elaborate Christmas decorations. It's also the time of year when I'm most reminded about other people's needs. Children without toys, families without homes, homeless people struggling for a bite of food or a place to stay warm. The world is a pretty fucked up place when it comes down to it, and the decadence of holidays like Christmas often point out the disparity between the haves and the have-nots.

That's not to say we should all stop celebrating and just live in depression. But it is motivation to try and do your part this holiday season to give back, whatever way that might be. That's why I decided to team up with my fellow Brooklyn blogger babes Erica Lavelanet & Landon Miller to host a little holiday event this Thursday, December 17th at Blind Barber Brooklyn to benefit The Bowery Mission. Bring a coat or warm items of clothing to donate for a chance to win awesome gifts from our sponsors: Blind Barber, Carson Street Clothiers, French Connection and Whole Foods! Check out the invite below, or click on it to access our Facebook page with more details.

Hope to see you there, and if not, would love your help to spread the word!

  1. Well said. Nice that you are taking time to help "give back" a little to those less fortunate.
