Who says you can't wear rompers during Winter?
Sleeveless jumpsuit c/o ASOS, Uniqlo heattech turtleneck, BCBG quilted jacket (similar here), Bershka sunnies, Madewell crossbody bag, Fadhila booties c/o Schutz shoes. Shot by Isaac Lacey.
When it comes to winter dressing, what the experts seldom tell you is that you can pretty much still wear anything in your closet this time of year. It all comes down to what you're rocking underneath.
It doesn't matter if we're talking about your favorite vintage sundress, a new romper with cutouts (exhibit A above) or a silky blouse. All you need is a few heattech undergarments (I'm all about the turtlenecks, but this and this are pretty good basic layering pieces as well), a pair of fleece-lined tights in both a footless version (when you want to show some ankle) and a full stocking version (to rock under jeans, maxi skirts, dresses, you name it), plus a little creativity and you'll be wearing your Spring staples all the way into the next Nor'easter. Which is apparently coming tomorrow.... womp.
Anyway, all I'm saying is, what better time than winter to ditch all the rules and try out new layering and outfit combos? Everyone's so focused on keeping their faces down to avoid those icy winds anyway... so no one will even notice your 'crazy' outfits until you've completely mastered 'em. Relief.
