There are some days I never leave my neighborhood. And others when I spend most of my day in Manhattan cruising from appointment, to meeting, to coffeeshop and back again. There's nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of midtown on a weekday, the crowds of people ebbing and flowing into the streets and sidewalks, threatening to sweep you away in their rush and stress. That feeling of relief when you board the train home, just a few stops away but worlds away at the same time. When you kick off your heels, put down your bags and can immediately feel the tension melting away from your body, starting from your sore feet and working its way up until your mind floats free from the day's worries and you sink into your couch, thankful once again that you now call Brooklyn home.
Cheers to the week ahead!
